3D Print & Laser Cut Wood Object

My alchemical box has finally come to life. Here, to play tricks on your perception, and create illusions. The box has been laser cut, and painted over. The object in the middle has been 3D printed and painted with acrylic. The box consists of four rooms separated with mirrors. If the viewer looks into a room ,the illusion that there is only one object in the box is created. There is in fact one object, but it has four faces. Each face of the object is in a separate room, which has a different color expressing a different element in alchemy. To fabricate the box itself with laser cutting was relatively easy. But in the process of making the 3D print, there are so many little details to take note of. For example, the file size can not be too large. Or if there is anything "hidden" in your 3D program, it will NOT be hidden in the print! I had to learn that the hard way and realize that even though my render looked as it should have, the result of the print was a bit different. So there was an unexpected shape in my print, which I surgically removed ! using a soldering iron. I do not suggest using soldering iron on plastic, because of the possibly toxic fumes!  and it does not give you the best result, but in my case I was able to cover it "seamlessly" with paint!
